Thanksgiving

Even though it's been a peaceful holiday season since I didn't do the craft fair this year and I also don't have a daily job to go to, I haven't been posting! Not really sure why.

So, you can go to my sister's blog to see a little of what our Thanksgiving was like. Except for the crazy airport security lines for us in Orange County and in Austin, it was great. I would have liked to see more of my Austin friends, but when we don't make it there very often, family wins out.

I took a few little videos on the zumi and made a quick collection to show how cute my nephews (and my husband) are. Curtis was cracking me up with how he wanted people to tickle and play with him and Wesley holding Curtis' hand on the walk down to the lake was extra cute.

I've been slowly selling more things on my etsy vintage shop. I think it's fun to wrap up a package and send it out. It would be even more fun if I had a stack to mail out every time I make a trip to the post office!

Since we are thinking about moving (and if we don't move, we have to make a lot more room in our little apartment!), I am getting new things in the shop that have been sitting in my "to photograph and list" pile. More Joshua Tree Camping

We took what's likely our last camping trip for a while about a month ago to Joshua Tree. We camped there earlier this year as well. This time, we forgot the zumi and forgot my new (refurbished) big camera, so we took cell phone pics. We stayed two nights and didn't have to sleep in the car this time because the weather was wonderful (if a little on the warm side).

It was a nice trip - we camped with some of Colin's friends and enjoyed a Mexican potluck on Saturday night along with a fun game of "Would You Rather..." made up on the spot around the campfire, mostly fueled by the teenage boy who joined us.

It was probably our last camping excursion for a while mostly because I don't like having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night while camping and the tossing and turning during the night that pregnancy brings is best experienced on a real mattress.



Colin took most of these pics. On our drive out to Joshua Tree, he read from this site on how to take better pictures, and then put his new knowledge to work, but only had the iPhone to work with.
